Thousands flee as Taliban and Pak government clash

Posted on Updated on

It’s finally coming to a head. This is the most important battle the world has seen since the surge in Iraq.

Pak troops outnumber the militants three to one, but the usual Taliban tactics of using human shields will cause considerable trouble. Pakistan must push this to an end. Stopping short of the utter destruction of as many fighters as possible will be disastrous. A Taliban which survives intact will using the inevitable destruction as propaganda.

The Taliban may have over reached in their recent violations of the Swat Valley peace treaty. Had they taken their time and recruited from the starving, illiterate masses, their army would have been considerably larger.

The Taliban’s operation in practice is not perfect but with the Liberal media on their side they are sure to win. Lib’ media is a propaganda machine for the enemy like no other. Goebbels could have used help like this in WWII. If he had it we may not have won the war…..seriously.

I was in Canada last week and got behind on my blog reading. I always enjoy your writing Doug, but you were on fire last week – every post is particularly good – compelling, well written, well reasoned and right on target. Well done man
