In America, we have viable options to narco-trade. In Afghanistan–not so much.

If some Americans think the war on Drugs has failed in our country, try waging it in a place whose economy is almost entirely dependant on drug money.


Read here what our war on Afghanistan’s opium crop has accomplished, and consider why I say: Remove the combat brigades but keep enough troops and firepower on hand to mash militant uprisings.

And here, our troops see that even the Afghan Army is addicted to heroin. This is a pointless fight for a culture that’s surrendered to barbarism.
