Where we’ve come

Posted on

Please read this post by journalist Michael Yon.  This is why we’re losing.  This is the way our military is treating itself.  Just remember who dies when the “Good Idea Fairy” comes around.  It ain’t the generals.  Pay special attention to the letter at the end written by SSG Sisson.  His report on how his Soldiers were treated doesn’t at all surprise me, but I can’t pass up on the chance to get someone who matters the opportunity to feel some shame over it.

That this isn’t blaring on every tv and news website across the country is a true scandal. I know it’s cliche as hell, but we all know who Honey Boo Boo is, I bet few outside the military had any idea about how bad this is.

As you can probably tell from my posts over the past 6 months, I’ve lost almost all confidence in the military chain of command.

    Here’s more from Yon:

Writing a letter to the President right now. I’ll post it when I’m done.

I just read your post, powerful and to the point. I hvae to wonder what the pols are thinking b/c what do they have to gain by staying there? YOu were way ahead of the curve on this subject, but now it seems like pretty much everyone who’s proximate to it says it’s time to get out of here. I honestly can’t even recall what the stated reason is anymore that we’re there. And the sad part is that the people calling the shots probably don’t either – other than “Don’t rock the apple cart in an election year”
