Julius Evola on antisemistism

Posted on Updated on

At this point we may even wonder whether
a fanatical anti-Semitism, which always sees the Jew as a deus ex machina, is not
unwittingly playing into the hands of the enemy. One of the means employed by the
occult forces to protect themselves consists of directing their opponents’ attention
toward those who are only partially responsible for certain upheavals, thus concealing
the rest of the story, namely a wider sequence of causes.~Julius Evola, Man Among the Ruins

How can I call myself a reactionary, yet be appalled at antisemitism and Nazism? Easy. Those who adore these paradigms focus on them because they provide easy, identifiable touchstones, the deus ex machina for both the world’s ills as well as the symbolic power of Nazi iconography. The Nazis ruined the dominant civilization of the 20th century: Germany. Yes, there are ideas dominating our world that emanated from specific individuals and groups, and they tend to be Marxian in nature. But these ideas had their roots even before Marx. Yes, there were people and groups who made it their mission to implant these ideas within American academia, Hollywood and the media. Some were jews, most were not.

The problem is far greater than that presented within a singular genotype. It is an idea we are fighting, that of Uber-materialism. The idea, expounded on by Nietzsche, that there is nothing beyond our mere atoms. That is the terrific war we fight. We are losing.

This was a short post but you’ve touched upon this several times before and honestly, there’s not much left to be said. This is the *only* time I think I’m sad that you banned Apollonian – it would be interesting if nothing else to see how this fit into his insane world view. I guess it’d be nothing but ZOG capitalized over and over with Anti-Israeli links and Infowars stuff. On second thought, that is all that he’d post, with Ho Ho Ho – so we’re not missing anything.
